Hearing Consultation (Ear Health Check)
The consultation will involve the Audiologist discussing your hearing concerns and will examine the health of the ear, auditory canal and ear drum with the otoscope and decide if further assessments or treatment are required. The hearing consultation can last up to 20 minutes and the audiologist may provide impartial independent advice where necessary.
Diagnostic Hearing Assessment:
The diagnostic hearing assessment will be carried out by the HCPC-registered audiologist. This assessment will involve the audiologist carrying out a medical history, and examination of the ear and auditory canal using a video otoscope so you are also able to view the ear canal. And then completing a full diagnostic hearing assessment. The audiologist can then advise the appropriate management for you. This examination may take up to 45 minutes.
Microsuction Ear Wax Removal:
The Microsuction Ear Wax Removal procedure will involve the audiologist completing an Ear wax removal consent form with you regarding your ear health. Then the audiologist will examine the ear fully using the video otoscope and inform you of the procedure. Once the ear wax removal is complete the audiologist will advise you if any further treatment is required. This procedure may last up to 30 minutes.

If you are in need of certain hearing care products. You can purchase these from us:

- Hearing aid batteries (sizes p312, p10, p13).
- Hearing aid servicing equipment – hearing aid tubing for ear moulds, brushes, puffers.
